Nice place to grab dinner in CP!

Jimmy John's is a quick and affordable way to get a great bite to eat. I got a #9 with dijon and it was delicious and filling. Their cookies are addictive as well. The staff was super friendly, very helpful and much faster than Subway.

The problem with writing reviews that are three stars or lower is that generally, the food or experience wasn't very memorable. Okay, if something gets one star it was probably god damn awful, but even three star food gets lost in the sea of similar snacks. Jimmy John's is pretty decent, I guess. I got the #3 tuna sandwich. It was tasty, and it had a lot of alfalfa which had a nice flavor. Other than that, there wasn't much to remember. It was pretty cheap too.

Decent sandwiches. Like homemade; fresh and filling. Wish they had more variety though. But, if you're looking for a traditional roast beef or turkey sub, then I'd recommend it.

Jimmy John's can be classified as just another sub shop, ala Quiznos or Subway, but it is just a little cooler, has better service and fresher, tastier subs. Great in-house baked sub rolls too. Order by number... #3 Tuna is my go-to... tuna, with lettuce, sprouts and cucumbers. I add hot peppers and dijon. These guys will have your sub made by the time you finish paying.

Good sandwiches, but I think Potbelly's is better. They have an amazing avocado spread, but there's never enough of it. Paying for extra avocado spread doesn't get you much more, unfortunately, so don't waste money on extra spread.

the sandwiches are alright but with all the sandwich stores in that concentration of cp subway or potbelly is better.

Jimmy John's is the best sandwich shop in town, bar none. I am not saying that they make the best sandwiches I have ever had, but for an area that is not really known for their subs, Jimmy John's is really good. I am from the Philadelphia area originally and I grew up eating the best cheesesteaks and in Jersey, some of the best subs around. JJ's does not beat out some of those locations but please don't tell me that Subway or Potbelly are better than Jimmy John's. JJ's has fresh bread and the perfect sized portions. And on top of that, their service, at least at the College Park location, is some of the best service at a restaurant I have ever received. They make your sandwich so quickly you sometimes are not even finished paying for it before they hand it to you. I highly recommend JJ's......skip past the Potbelly in College Park and head for the best sandwich shop in town.

Jimmy Johns is known for its quick delivery. Not at all at the moment. So my coworker and I ordered more than 30 minutes ago and it's still not here. During lunch they are as quick as 5-10 minutes. We got a call from them at least 15 minutes ago letting us know the subs were made and confirming the delivery location which never happens. Is this normal now? If it is I'll change my rating so let me know.

I love the club tuna with peppers! It's absolutely delicious. I do feel a tad bit bothered that a bag of chips is $1.50, and a medium sized fountain drink is $2.50. Delivery takes almost no time. I'm pretty sure the two times I had JJ deliver at my door, they dropped off the order within maybe 15-20 minutes? Good food, good customer service - I'm plenty satisfied overall.

The savior of my late night study sessions as well as late weekends. Probably order from here every other week and the delivery is always on time within 15-20 minutes which is great. Only had one bad experience when it took about 50 minutes to deliver, because they only had one guy working that night, but I've had so many good experiences I won't count this one against them. Sandwiches are alright, but they always hit the spot and the delivery time is what counts when I want it.

I had a very frustrating experience of finding this place. There isn't a whole lot of lunch options in Greenbelt, and I really wanted my usual at JJs, so I drove over to College Park. I Yelped the location, of course, and I drove down the street twice looking for the store. It is located on a strip and what I have learned is that they do not have the Jimmy Johns sign outside of the store! It is located between a nail place and a pizza place. There is a very small lot on the side of the strip and you have to put change in, but it's pretty cheap. I think I put about 35 cents in for 10 minutes. Other than that Jimmy Johns is pretty consistent with their sandwiches, which is so awesome. I love the chips that they have to offer because they are a little tougher than your average chip. Jimmy Johns is definitely my go to sandwich place and now I know where I can find it, so I think next time will be a little easier.

I don't leave that many reviews on Yelp, but I had the worst JJ experience tonight. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I don't care that it's raining, I don't care that "a lot of people have ordered." I've NEVER waited 45 minutes to get a JJ sandwich. I called at 6:35 pm, and did not receive my order until 7:12 pm. I am a UMD student and have class at 7 pm (that I've never been late to...) I called JJ at 7:09 and talked to an extremely rude employee. He had a terrible attitude and just kept saying sorry. I asked if there was a possibility for a credit and he said, "did you expect to be the only customer tonight?" AND he said the delivery guy didn't leave until 6:54 pm, TWENTY MINUTES after I made my order! TWENTY minutes to make a sandwich? I'm sorry, but that's bull crap. It would've been appreciated that when I called, to have been told about the long wait. What I expect is 20 minutes tops, from order to delivery, like it usually takes. If I don't get a credit with this receipt next time I go into this JJ store location, I will NOT be going back and will do my very best to tell people NOT to eat or order from this location...

Jimmy John's gets an absurd amount of my money. Their sandwiches are delicious and their delivery and general customer service is top-notch. I don't think I've ever waited more than 12 minutes for delivery, which is a testament to both the food prep and delivery processes. Many of the deliverers travel by bike, which I think cuts down on time. I am a creature of habit and generally only get the Vito or Italian Nightclub sandwiches. My only complaint is that you can't order a combo through delivery; the chips and soda are a la carte. The important thing is that you can still get fountain soda and they just up-size the cup so it doesn't spill in transit. Jimmy John's prices are extremely reasonable and you get quality food for what you pay. It's definitely a good value and you should give it a try!

Great food !!!, and the price is right I just got the Turkey sub from Jimmy johns and it was good, it's my first time this is now my new place for lunch healthy and better then any burger.

Evidently Jimmy John's is a national chain that is steadily expanding across the country. Their specialty- subs! What a coincidence because I happen to hold a Ph.D. in that department. I heard a radio ad for this place and said to myself, "hmmmm, something different, ohhhh, what the heck, let's try it!!!". For those of you that read my reviews regularly, you probably know that occasionally something bad happens when I listen to myself regarding trying some new place or going on an ill fated (but wildly popular) "dating experience". This particular location is down the street from the U. of MD campus and is amongst a row of restaurants, bars and shops filled primarily with students and other folks associated with the university. I will make this really simple: this place is a faster serviced, comparably priced but lower quality version of Subway. I ordered the "Beach Club", which features fresh baked turkey breast, provolone cheese, avocado spread, sliced cucumber, sprouts, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Start to finish, it was pretty bad. The positives were that it was literally ready in like 3 minutes. It was also around $6. Then.....I unwrapped the paper to unveil an unappealing mess. No focus on flavors whatsoever, everything was all over the place from the presentation to the ingredients just canceling each other out. What a waste! Bottom line, I have a new found respect for Jared, the Subway guy!

Jimmy John's is a quick sandwich joint that is predominantly in college towns, but does have restaurants across the country. If you are in a hurry, Jimmy John's is the place to go as they quickly make the sandwiches in front of you, getting you in and out quicker than a trip to McDonald's. Even the delivery takes about 10 minutes, while most places take roughly an hour. The prices for a 9 inch sub are around $5, which is pretty reasonable. The subs are your classic lunchmeat sandwiches with Jimmy John's homemade bread. The bread is soft and light. I got my Turkey Tom without sprouts, tomatoes, and mayo while adding oil and vinegar and onions. The turkey was very light in consistency and almost melted in your mouth. They apply just the right combination of toppings to the turkey. Overall, the sandwich, while simple is extremely good and one of my favorite dishes in College Park. It is pretty light though and I have no trouble polishing off two sandwiches usually. Bread: 9 Meat: 9 Overall: 9

Over the past two or three weeks, I've ordered Jimmy Johns delivery five times. Although the food has tasted great, they messed up my order four of those five times. These haven't been minor screw-ups, like they forgot the lettuce, but totally incorrect orders. Today, the order (my boss's) was wrong again. I called the location and they asked me to package up the incorrect sandwich and send it back with the driver who would bring the correct one. The second sandwich came. It was wrong as well. I sent it back with the driver (very nice guy) for one more try. He came back to my location a few minutes later and said his manager, Lou, had refused to send another sandwich. We could either keep it or not, our choice. Needless-to-say, I was pretty surprised. Rather than calling him and battling it out, I decided to call the corporate office and have them sort it out. (The second star is just for the very tasty food and the nice delivery drivers.)
(2)Theresa R.
Fastest delivery ever! I love how they use bikes to cut down on delivery time. Their sandwiches are great, somehow seeming much fresher than Subway. My only complaint is that I always wind up over $10 by simply adding chips and and a pickle to my order. Beware of those extras! They cost a lot more than they're worth. $1.75 for a pickle that most places would give away for free? Ridiculous. $1.50 for a tiny bag of chips? Also ridiculous. If only they had a meal option they could get 5 stars, but as this is a chain I know it won't be changing any time soon. :/

Jimmy John's sandwiches are quite good, and pretty simple. My boyfriend will often drag me out during studying for a quick snack break when I'm starving myself. I always get the Turkey Tom because it has no cheese, and it's basic but good: turkey, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce+tomato, mayo. Two things about Jimmy John's employees: 1) They are EXTREMELY fast. They often have my sandwich ready before I have managed to finish fumbling with my wallet. It's kind of magical to watch them make sandwiches, although if you want to change something, you do feel bad because your sandwich has been done for 5 minutes already. 2) They can get REAL crazy at night. And this can get really annoying, and is why I can't give them 5 stars. One time, I came into the store in the evening to hear the music BLASTING so loudly that the cashier is having a tough time hearing my order (and in fact, he messed up my order) and the employees just horsing around a LOT. I don't mind people having fun at work, but they were like, belting out songs and dancing around and I felt super uneasy eating there for much longer. This was an isolated incident, but I don't doubt it happens when I'm not there. However, Jimmy John's is a pretty chill place and you get your sandwiches very quickly.

My housemate says that this is a really good sandwich place- better than Subways, so I decided to give it a go. I think that we both have very different definitions of what a good sandwich is. He says he really likes the clean taste of their sandwiches, but I was left unimpressed. The sandwiches were cold cut and the menu was pre-set. So not toasted, without flexibility that I adore from Subways. Not to mention that if I hadn't asked for hot peppers to be added, it would've been one pretty tasteless sandwich. So yeah. I've had better. Not impressed.
(2)Dahna S.
Yummy sandwiches, quick service, reasonable prices, open late. That's A-OK in my book! They don't toast their sandwiches, but I can't say I miss it much considering how tasty their freshly made bread is. I generally get the roast beef or turkey-- but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrote with any of their deli meats. Why only 3 stars? There's nothing here that's too out of the box, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Jimmy John's is a great spot to grab a quick sandwich at a great price. Do beware of one of the employees... there's some guy there who's quite the grumpster and might even raise his voice when demanding you order your sandwich...

My tip says it all but here we go again... Super fast service but they don't cut back on the quality. They delivered so many time to my office we now use them to cater our meetings.

This is a great example of what Jimmy John's is about, fast, friendly service. "Welcome to Jimmy John's," when we enter and "Have a great day," when we leave. Not to mention our subs were ready within 30 seconds of us sitting down. I'm always impressed with how fast Jimmy John's is. During our time eating here the two bike delivery guys there must have done two or three full round trips. If you can't walk in, order Jimmy John's and it'll be there in a couple minutes anyway. This Jimmy John's was pretty clean. The staff went around a couple times while we were there wiping down the tables and picking up trash. It's nice to see the place kept up well. The food is similar to every other Jimmy John's I've been to. If you want a crazy sub with every vegetable imaginable and umpteen different sauces, this is not the place for you. Jimmy John's has a set menu and that allows them to do these few subs really well. Nothing is toasted, but that lets them keep costs down and speed up preparation. Overall this is a great Jimmy John's and provides a great place to get a sandwich. Whenever we're in College Park I love stopping by and grabbing a quick sub.

When I say I love Jimmy John's, thats an understatement... I've only tried two of their sandwiches, the J J Gargantuan and the #9 Italian Night Club end of discussion. They have the best cold hoagies in this area in my opinion. You will not be disappointed and they're extremely fast. The J J Gargantuan is a huge sandwhich, a great deal. This is a two serving sandwhich. If you eat this at one sitting, thats straight greedy lol.. Normally I'll eat one half and save the rest for the following day its that hearty and filling. The prices are reasonable might I add *wink*
(5)Jeff B.
I recommend the Beach Club with oregano. Also, you can get day-old bread for 50 cents, and it still has an exceptional taste. -Very fast delivery. The fastest delivery time I experienced living in Anne Arundel Hall (behind McKeldin) was 11 minutes.
(5)B W.
I love Jimmy John's. I love their sandwiches. I love their prices. I love their free smells, which are awesome by the way. I even love that 4 out of the 5 times I go in, there is not a line. I love how I can stand there while they make my sandwich and say, "can I have more of the ..., please. Thanks" It's not a lot I don't like. Did I mention I've only had two of their sandwiches: the tuna with the avocado spread and the alfalfa & the turkey with the cumcuber. It's all I need in my life!
(4)Set V.
Very useful for quick food delivery when you are hungry and can't leave the office. I rate them highly mostly for the speedy delivery. The tuna sandwich that I often buy is also pretty good by sandwich shop standards (very good bread, seemingly fresh vegetables, fine tuna).
(4)Amanda M.
I had the Hunter's Club giant sandwich which comes with a full 1/4 lb of fresh sliced medium rare roast beef, provolone, lettuce, tomato and mayo. It was okay not great.
(3)Jee D.
It's so funny that Jimmy John's in the Midwest is such an institution, but here, it's just a sub shop. I love their subs for what they are - delicious bread, fresh ingredients, fast service. Their subs aren't fancy, but they don't pretend to be - just tasty ingredients for a tasty meal.
(4)Kevin W.
I used to frequent Potbelly all the time for lunch, since I work right down the street. Their hot peppers are to die for, and the sandwiches are great too. One day, my friend brought me to Jimmy John's, and everything changed. Jimmy John's sandwiches taste fresher, and they bake their own bread. Also, the staff at Jimmy John's is nicer and quicker. To make things even better, Jimmy John's is a lot less crowded. Go to Jimmy John's instead. You will leave with a food boner, guaranteed.
(5)Janet H.
i get into these bouts of addiction, and right now, i'm addicted... yes, i love their original bread rolls (none of the healthy wheat stuff), and i love the mayo (though i tell them to go light since they spread on both halves but that's personal pref). and free alfafa sprouts and hot peppers?! yes please! they're nice, fast, and a breeze! i've loved every sandwich i've tried and will be going back... in about 20 minutes. can't beat jimmy john's here!
(5)Daniel K.
My new favorite sandwich shop! I love the Italian night club with hot peppers. This place is lightening fast and super delicious. I met the owner, Matt, his attention to detail shows in the quality of the food. I hope this new College Park business sticks around, I will be there a lot.
